My name is Landi Griessel. I am currently based in George but originate from Cape Town.I have a passion for travel, working with people, am extremely customer service orientated and am fully bilingual.

I am a problem solver by heart, which is very important in this new travel era we now find ourselves in. I have been in the travel industry for almost 25 years and have gained invaluable experience in both the wholesale and retail markets. From my exposure to both fields, I have fine-tuned the concepts of attention to detail and service excellence.

Working in the wholesale market, I learned how to put the perfect package together and at the best possible costs. I have traveled extensively, enabling me to work and communicate well with people from all cultures and walks of life.

Countries I have explored include the UK, Scotland, Australia, Mauritius, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Spain, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand and of course South Africa.

As a keen hiker, I have climbed, walked, hiked and crawled just about every trail and mountain in and around Cape Town. Hiking has taught me to persist in the tough times and to just take things one step at a time , even when you feel like just giving up. It has also taught me to stop for a minute and just appreciate the simpler things in life, things we don’t always notice in our daily rush to get where we’re going… Like a beautiful wildflower growing straight out a rock or a breath-taking view along the way to the top… It’s not always just about getting to the top or to get there in the shortest time, but rather to enjoy the journey there.

Being with XL Group, enables me to run my own travel agency from home with the back-up and support of an international travel company. This enables me to offer my clients the best personalised service. Being part of such a well-established company reassures financial peace of mind, as well as safe and secure travel arrangements.
